Portfolio development follows a visible writing process. Exact piece lengths, submission limits, feedback turnaround and pass requirements are confirmed with the current cohort before enrolment.
Respond to a focused brief by creating a scene, poem, personal essay or other unit-specific piece.
Use peer response and trainer checkpoints to identify strengths, unclear choices and practical revision priorities.
Revise work with purpose and select completed pieces for a final portfolio and personal writing plan.
Write a 300-word scene in which two characters want different outcomes but avoid naming the conflict directly. Feedback examines character intention, subtext, dialogue, pacing and the effect of revision. This is an illustrative practice brief, not learner work or a guaranteed assessment specification.
Included in CVCW®
At the end of the course, every student receives trainer feedback on voice, structure, revision, portfolio quality, and the next steps for their writing goals.
