This glossary can help you prepare for the IELTS writing tasks related to the Production in Food.


chill:

verb

Make (someone or something) cold.

Example: The slices are boiled and then chilled before being stored until needed.

commercial production:

Noun phrase

Commercial production is the initial point at which production from a grove, orchard, or vineyard begins to make operations economically feasible, based on expected price points.

Example: There are a number of processes involved in the commercial production of frozen fish pies.
